How to Login #
If you want to log in to your website, add /login after your domain name, “mydomain.com/login“. Use the username and password provided by the Union Window Film support team. In case you forgot your password you can always reset it by clicking on “Lost your password?“
Dashboard layout #
Each Administration Screen is presented in sections, the toolbar (and header), the admin area, the work area, and the footer.
The Toolbar has links to various administration functions and is displayed at the top of each Administration Screen. Many Toolbar items expand (flyout) when hovered over to display more information.
The Admin menu details each of the administrative functions you can perform. At the bottom of that section is a Collapse menu button that shrinks the menu into a set of icons, or expands to list them by major function. Within each major function, such as Posts, the sub-menu expands (fly-out) when hovered over, and expands fully if an item is clicked.
In the work area, the specific information relating to a particular navigation choice, such as adding a new post, is presented and collected.

Toolbar – Keeping It All Together #
The Toolbar contains quick links to create new posts, pages, links, and notifications. Also, you can see your account details.
Hi, User #
On the far right of the Toolbar is “Hi, User”, with an image of your Gravatar. When hovered over, this expands to link you to your Profile Screen as well as a LogOut link.
When you log in to your website, WordPress stores a so-called cookie in your web browser. This cookie allows WordPress to remember who you are; if you leave your blog’s site for a while but come back to it later, WordPress will see the cookie and not require you to log in again.
NOTE: If you have a WordPress cookie set in your web browser, anyone using your computer can access the Administration Screens of your blog. If you don’t want this to happen (perhaps you are using a public computer or a computer that other people use), you can click this Log Out link, and WordPress will delete the cookie from your web browser.
Screen Options #
Screen Options, displayed as a hanging tab under the toolbar, allow the user to decide what fields or modules are presented in the work area for a given Administration Screen. Each Screen may have a different set of Screen Options.
Click on the Screen Options tab to expand the options available for a particular Screen, check (or uncheck) the desired options, and then click the Screen Options hanging tab to collapse the Screen Options.
Admin menu #
The WordPress admin dashboard, often called WP Admin or WP admin panel, is the control panel for your entire WordPress website. It’s where you create and manage content change styling in the form of themes, and lots, lots more. Depending on your website setup you can see different options, but the main menu items are:
Dashboard #
Acts like a home button and returns you to the default screen.

Posts #
Add and manage blog posts
Media #
Media consists of the images, videos, recordings, and files that you upload and use on your website. Media is typically uploaded and inserted into the content when writing a Post or writing a Page. Note that the Uploading Setting in the Settings Media Screen describes the location and structure of the upload directory (where your media files are stored). If you do need to upload Media, even if that Media is not related to a Post or Page, then you need to use the Media Add New Screen.
Quote submissions #

Pages #
The Pages Screen provides the facility to manage all the Pages on a website. Via this Screen, Pages can be edited, deleted, and viewed. Filtering, and searching, also make it easy to quickly find Pages matching certain criteria.
Comments #
In the Comments Screen, you can edit or delete content found in comments to your posts, and you can mark comments as spam, send comments to the trash, and reply to comments. Many rules can be defined about who can write comments, and how comments are moderated. These rules are managed via Administration > Settings > Discussion.

Profile #
A Place where you configure personal options.
You can add or update the following optional fields in your profile:
- Profile photo: An image representing you or your brand. If you add a profile photo, you get a Gravatar profile. You can update your profile photo by moving your mouse over your current photo and clicking “Click to change photo.”
- First name: Your first name.
- Last name: Your last name.
- Public Display Name: This is how you would like your name to be displayed publicly, such as your first name, a nickname, or your brand’s name. You can change this name as often as you’d like. If you do not enter a public display name, your WordPress.com username is shown by default.
- About Me: A brief bio or other information you want to display on your profile.
You can also enable or disable the following options:
- Hide my photo and Gravatar profile: This will prevent your photo and Gravatar profile from appearing on any site. It may take some time for the changes to take effect.
- I am a developer: This makes your WordPress.com experience more powerful and grants early access to developer features.
After updating any of these details, click the “Save profile details” button to save your changes.
